The collection is practically complete, in the absence of three sheets only, sheets that accompany the description of the most important places that are spoken in the work. This has given us the opportunity to know the aspect presented by Spanish cities in the 18th century. In addition to geographic data, we see artistic data, fables and curiosities of each place. It will be auctioned for € 3,000 (see).
From Francisco de Goya is lot 252, a Bullfighting. Published by El Circulo de Bellas Artes in 1929, it is a sixth edition with 40 etchings made in etching. This edition, the third (previous in 1487 in Murcia and 1511 in Medina del Campo), begins the error of attributing the work to Fernán Pérez de Guzmán, when it corresponds to Diego Rodríguez de Almela in inspiration of Valero Máximo. Albrecht Dürer wrote De sy [m] metria partium in rectis formis hu [m] anorum corporum libri: in Latinum conversi / De varietate figurum et flexuris partium ac gestibus imaginum libri duo, which was published in 1532 and 1534, being in this case a first edition what we found. Dürer based his inquiries on the previous studies of Vitruvius, da Vinci and Alberti, formulating as a result of these his own theories about the proportions of the human body and other ideas of the arts. His main difference with respect to what preceded him was his idea of the diversity of the human being, without wanting to close in an ideal canon without more. It will be auctioned for € 5,000 (see).
There is no lack in an auction worthy of a good edition of the great work of Diderot and D’Alambert, Encyclopédie, ou dictionnaire raisonné des Sciences, des Arts et des Metiers, par une Societé de gens de lettres. This work is the symbol of the movement of the Ilustración, adding in its interior the intentions of the authors and the compilation of the knowledge of the time. He also acted as a political weapon. Diderot and d’Alambert were in charge, at first, the translation of a work, which soon became the generation of a new one, a work of bourgeois, secular and hypercritical bias. It will be auctioned for € 28,000 (see).
