No es ya una novedad el hecho de que por estas fechas Miami se torne un centro importante del mercado del arte, debido a que Art Basel presenta allí su edición latinoamericana de la feria. En esta ocasión la novedad consiste en el catálogo online, que permite a todo el mundo poder conocer lo que se oferta en la multitudinaria feria. Han llovido los artículos en los que se habla sobre los mejores lotes del catálogo. Uno de los artículos más destacados ha venido de la mano de la propia plataforma Art Basel, quienes han consultado a diversos expertos del panorama artístico cuales eran sus artistas y obras favoritas de cara a esta edición. Concretamente, contamos con la opinión de Cecilia Alemani, curadora de High Line y directora artística de las ciudades de Art Basel; Simon Castets, director del Swiss Institute; Orit Gat, editora y escritora artística; y Ricardo Porrero, fundador del Gallery Weekend de Ciudad de México.

Cecilia Alemani, por su parte, habla de la obra de Paola Pivi, en Perrotin, o de Massimo de Carlo, mientras que también muestra interés por Pia Camil del Instituto de visión, o Luciana Lamothe en la galería Ruth Bencazar. Continúa hablando de José Carlos Martinat en Revolver, Derek Fordjour en Josh Lilley, o Bruno Munari en la galería Andrew Kreps. Por último, menciona la presentación de JTT con el trío neoyorquino Elyse Smith, Brona Sanmak y Jamian Juliano Villani.
